Stop Feeling Sorry For Fucking Idiots

subwaysurfing.jpgToday, I read an article about a guy who was killed while attempting to subway surf. Coincidentally, on my commute home, I heard a few people discussing this story, talking about how sad they feel for this kid. I say, let’s stop having sympathy for assholes. This fucking moron actually thought that riding atop a subway car was a good idea??? Loss of life is always a shame, but people need to be responsible enough to not do things that put them in harm’s way.

Miraculously, I hear comments like that around the city fairly regularly, but when a pregnant woman gets on a crowded train, I don’t see that many people offer up their seat… Our priorities are fucked.

Amen, Noah. Amen. Don’t feel sorry for people stupid enough to train surf.

It is Darwinian, plain and simple… Survival of the fittest. If your mind dictates that train surfing is something you should logically do, then you are far from "fittest."

Poor people had a two hour delay in the middle of the night cause of this and now, I guess taxpayers and riders have to pay for an add campaign to tell people it’s not good to ride on top of the cars.

The KID was 21 qnd his friends got on a train just before the doors closed leaving him on the platform. Maybe he had a drink and thought he could ride on the outside of the train for one stop so he sptepped on that little ledge and held on.
I know none of you assholes ever did anything stupid when you were 21 but you can have a little compassion for a kid who lost his life over one dumb mistake

"I know none of you assholes ever did anything stupid when you were 21 but you can have a little compassion for a kid who lost his life over one dumb mistake"

Yes Scoootr, i did plenty of dumb things when i was 21 like drop out of school for a while, have too much to drink and make out with a cute stranger in a bar, go on spring break to cancun for the week with 100$ in my pocket and no hotel, etc. Those are really dumb things!! SURFING ON A TRAIN IS BEYOND DUMB! I’m not saying he deserved to die, but the only sympathy i feel is for his family having to live with the fact that this kid was a dumbass. Reminds me of this past January when i was stuck all night in NYC when the LIRR was stopped due to a 13 year old getting hit by a train while trying to spray black paint over signal lights. And i bet, just like that kids mom, this surfing kids mother will also find a way to sue the city so she can find someone else to blame.

Good call, Jen. I also feel bad for the driver of the train. Regardless of the fact this kid was being an asshole, I am sure he feels pretty horrible about the situation, though he is without fault. And how about the emergency services crews who had to clean up this kids mangled body and dismembered parts?!?!

what a wanker, anyone stupid enough to get on the outside of a train DESERVES to be killed, hopefully the dumbass hasnt got any kids already, but then again he might as he was probably an inbreed.Anyone who defends this prick is probably a relative (numbnuts)
