Moist
I’m so tired of feeling moist. I grew up in the south with higher temps and higher humidity than we usually get here, but in the south everyone drives everywhere and every building is air conditioned to the utmost degree so your only exposure to the temperatures is that quick run between the car and your destination. Here, with old, un-air conditioned buildings and our unique forms of travel I spend an awful lot of my time sweating. I’m up to three showers a day on some days some days and I still dread climbing into my bed because the humidity makes the sheets feel clammy. Fans, dehumidifiers… nothing seems to make a dent in it. The inefficiency of my apartment layout prevents window units from really making a difference, so I end up running from a/c’ed room to a/c’ed room with fits of clamminess and heat in between. You have to love summer in the city, huh?
