What I Will Miss Most/Least About NYC, Part 2
I promised myself I would take this admittedly poor quality video of going over the Manhattan bridge in the Q train. If you look closely you can see the Statue of Liberty moonwalking across the Brooklyn Bridge (i.e. the part where I zoom in. The statue is a little stick.) Yayayayay! It’s my favorite part of commuting over the Manhattan bridge.
What I will miss least:
Goddam video/photo crews disturbing my life wherever I go. Walking down West 13th Street, already late for my free Bumble and bumble cut, this douchebag has the audacity to tell me that I can’t walk down that street. Sorry, buddy I HAVE A GODDAM HAIR APPOINTMENT THAT YOU’RE MAKING ME EVEN LATER TO! and I walk with utmost importance. On the way out they think it’s cool to stop foot traffic so we can all watch Jeremy Sisto run up and down the street with a cell phone and then start climbing up a fire escape. Looks like a crapass B movie to me.
I don’t expect Paris to be much different with the entertainment production bullshit but at least nobody wants to shoot movies in Vienna. Yay! Streets to myself!
FYI–I think the Jeremy Sisto thing you refer to is a new show called “Kidnapped” I just watched the pilot last night (In my defense it was on the same promo disc as the pilot for Studio 60) and a ton of it takes place in downtown Brooklyn. It’s not an awful show, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. I like Sisto a bit crazier, a la Billy Chenowith.
Ha — okay, I kinda see it.
But, seriously, you should market that video to children with autism. You’d make a fortune!
