SWF ISO Sugar Daddy to Fulfill Celeb Art Lust

Andre Ethier, frontman of the Toronto-based Deadly Snakes, releases his second solo album, Secondathallam, today. Ethier’s debut, Andre Ethier with Christopher Sandes Featuring Pickles & Price, is a brilliant, boozy, manic depressive honky-tonk rave-up. I love that album so much, it’s hard to imagine that today’s bounty will top it. Nonetheless, I plan on extracting myself from my blogging headquarters once the sun retreats, so that I might wander the streets sweat-free to make a purchase. On that note, I hope Rockit Scientist is stocking this one, as I actually enjoy giving them my money.

Ethier is an artist too, and you can view his work at the Derek Eller Gallery on 27th Street on a walk-in basis until August 18th. After that it’s by appointment only, which means it’ll get a whole lot more awkward for those of us who have no intention of buying anything. I don’t know shit about art, but I know that one of these awesome oil-on-masonite paintings belongs on my wall…too bad they’re in the $2000 – $3000 price range. If that poses no challenge to your wallet, please, drop me a line and we’ll go together.

So it really is even better than the first one, huh? Ugh! I went out to find it that day, hit FOUR stores (including Kim’s and Other), but couldn’t find it. So now I’m still waiting. If I can’t find it this weekend, I’m going to order it online.
