NYC vs BOS: Behind the Baseball

While many may be focused on postseason baseball, I’m keeping my eye on the real competion within the MetroBlogosphere. Since the postseason started, NYC metblogs has gone crazy with updates while suddenly the normally active Boston has all but disappeared. In fact, there hasn’t been a new post from Boston since the postseason started. My hypothesis: Red Sox fans are far too busy crying in the fetal position to crawl to their keyboards and post about their misery.

Disclaimer: This post brought to you by a Cleveland Indians fan (who fulfills his Midwest obligations by disliking (read: hating) the Yankees and liking the Red Sox in as much as they beat out the Yankees) currently supporting those crazy almost-hometown White Sox.

I think we’re about to find out if any Boston folks are checking up on us.

Hate me now Boston. You’re a bunch of cry babies. This is coming from a long time Cubs fan (we don’t cry in our baked beans) and an employee of the NY Mets. My theory, the midget is gone, therefore so goes the MoJo. If they had the midget back then they would be a viable contender but until then, it looks like Buckner shall return to symbolize Boston post-season efforts.

Dammit–I wanted to see some good old fashioned feuding here. Where are all those Boston fans and why aren’t they squealing right about now?
