PS1’s Last WarmUp of the Summer feat. Norman Jay M.B.E. & DJ Bluewater

PS1’s WarmUp series has established itself as pretty much the Saturday party of the summer. Offering crazy art, crazy space installations, awesome tunes, cold beers, and flying foam discs (courtesy of Target), this is a wonderful way to spend a hot and sultry (or perfectly beautiful) Saturday afternoon. I managed to check out the last in the series with funk and soul Djs providing the perfect soundtrack to say goodbye to this Summer of 2005. Last year, I’d had the immense pleasure of dancing crazy to the Scissor Sisters. Shit was hot!

My photo essay after the jump.

Standing in line in Long Island City. The blessed portapotties on the left.

Entering the space. Note the strange space installation. It looked like a combo between wings and leaves, maybe?

More space stuff and hip peoples.

The flying Target discs. Way fun.
