Changing for the Better?

I like security: knowing that if I leave my apartment at 5:50 I can make it to the gym by 6 and still shower and get to work on time; knowing that the crazy man who sits in front of my subway station will tell me he loves me even when I never give him money; and knowing that my walk to work will never look different-same buildings, same bagel cart, same billboards.

    Oh, man, do you ever wonder what they do with those giant banners/posters?! I have to admit that I absolutely geeked out when they displayed ads on the Garden for X2: X-Men United (heh, shut up). I could have draped one of those posters around my whole apartment. How cool would that have been? For like a couple days, anyway.

    I’m all for draping signs around places. In college we used to steal road signs that were slightly sexually suggestive for The Band Shak at Stanford. It’s quite nice “bringing the outdoors, in” as those television design shows might say. Although X-Men….
