like a virgin, blogged for the very first time

yes. that’s right. this is my very first time. please be gentle… thanks.
so yesterday, i was dragging myself around the muggy streets of williamsburg and noticed a never before seen open storefront with tee shirts, photographs, and drawings. the same cute jack russel terrier that was hanging out beneath the table seemed to be the subject of the photographic portraits and silkscreened tees. hmmm. was this just an obsessed dog owner, or was there something more going on?
tillie the dog (short for tillamook cheddar) is actually the subject AND the artist, being the “producer” of the pictures hanging on the wall. a process that is something between crayon rubbings and carbon paper helps tillie scratch-draw her little heart out. is this a new form of outside art? or does it not count when the artist is already phylogenically apart from our species? and then, there is *the hand* of the human owner involved in setting up the art-making situations, as well as a decision on his part regarding colors and knowing when each piece is “finished”.
i guess it’s cool, but i’m certainly not in awe enough to consider working for this guy or his dog (did i mention that i’m looking for work and money? well, i am). it’s sad to think that this little terrier has a bigger portfolio than i do, as well as a hell of a lot more press than i’ve ever received. perhaps i could learn a thing or two from this canine friend? you be the judge:

Sean made us purposely cross the street away from the Tillie exhibit (though it was in the opposite direction of where we were headed) because he thinks the whole thing is so ridiculous. I wanted to walk by, cuz Lulu (my dog) would tear that bitch up!!!!
