I heard the following story last night at Fontana’s:

A girl just had just moved to New York and was looking for roommates in Craigslist. She found one place on the Upper East Side with two “actresses”. Ahem, waitresses. Little did she know that they were also part-time comediennes.
During the interview process the nervous newbie asked a lot of superflous questions about city life. The girls started to get annoyed by her constant questioning and ad libed a story that went something like this…

Many young new york girls get around the city for free. Any time they’re in a huge hurry, they find a guy who can share a cab with them to whatever destination need be. The guy pays. How? She did a job for him, if you know what I mean. Right there in the cab. It’s very common, particularly among young, attractive girls.

The girl was in shock. She didn’t get the apartment, but she did believe that to be true for a good six months. Lol.
