Sipping in Simone’s

I went to Simone’s in the East Village to catch up with some old friends - one of my favorite holiday activities. I had often passed by this red-lit establishment and been intrigued, but had never entered. It’s owned by the same folks as the Yaffa Cafe and it shows - the red interior, the animal-print chairs, the fringe lamps, etc. I like it! The menu also has some similarities to Yaffa’s, including Bellinis which I adore. They also serve plenty of tasty martinis and other cocktails.

The place is fairly quiet, but still lively, making it the perfect place for chatting with friends. After a nice conversation and a couple bellinis, we all caught up a bit. I decided I’d need to return to this dim martini spot for more talk and more bellinis!
