A Series of Unfortunate MTA Events
Mission: Get to work early.
Mission: Failed miserably.
Woke up at 6 a.m. Got ready, left the house at around 7:20 am.
Saw N22 bus pass me by. Waited patiently while reading book about Mother Teresa. Saw the next N22 whiz past me - just did not STOP.
Got to the train station, caught the E train. At Lexington Avenue, the loudspeaker lets me know; “hey I heard someone passed out on the 3rd car from the front, can you check it out?” It seemed the conductor was speaking to the driver. They’ve started doing that a LOT these days, have you noticed? Most commonly, “Do you have the lineup?” & “Yes, we have the lineup” and then the train leaves the station. This is probably for stations that are at the end of the line and those of you who get on the middle and get off before the last stop, you *may* not have heard of it.
Anyhow, so the passenger is sick. We wait EVEN longer. I reach work at like 9:30.
