To Good Health

Goodhealth.jpg

I discovered a tasty brunch place on the Upper East Side recently. Called Good Health, this establishment serves a selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Their brunch menu contains tofu scrambled, vegetarian sausages, and vegetarian patties. Meaning they offer plenty of dishes perfect for me, but if you desire real meat, not the best place.

The rather tiny interior was busy when I arrived, but not packed, and we were able to get a seat right away. The service was a bit aloof and the waiter looked at me oddly when I asked for sugar for my coffee. But other than that, I had a delicious brunch experience. The only thing missing was a mimosa - not served at this healthy establishment.

OH NO! Good Health has been discovered and blogged about! Now people are going to know about it and it’s going to get crowded and the waiter won’t know me by name anymore!

Good Health is, and has always been, my absolute favorite, best-kept secret in my neighborhood. The food is delicious and healthy without succumbing to the temptation of becoming trendy and pretentious (See Gobo, or any other health food establishment on this island…)

I eat here, or order in about once a week. My personal favorites:

    -Sweet Edamame Dumplings

    -Salmon Burger

    -Sesame Medallion Delight

    Shh! Don’t tell everyone!

Sorry! I’ll try to keep the secret quiet!

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll have to give them a try!

Tracey - I order lunch from there at least once a week and even got some of the big time Carnivores at the office to join me.

    Soooooooo damn good!
