The Guy On The Bike

A strange thing that seems to be going on in the art scene is that more and more of the responsibility for covering and reviewing shows is falling on bloggers and other forms of DYI media, most of whom operate with slim or no profits. The number of pages dedicated to coverage in print media is slipping, as more and more diverse galleries emerge.

One of the strangest one’s is an artist/writer named James Kalm, who took to documenting shows and openings in NY with little videos that he posts on You Tube. Often, it almost seems like he has to break into some institutions to do it.
