shhhh it’s a secret

For the past three months, I have been attending secret science meetings in Park Slope. Secretly located in the secret basement of Union Hall, the Super Secret Science Club hosts a lecture-cum-drunken-speakeasy on the first Wednesday of every month. The lecturers are famous dudes (and chicks) from the science world. Here’s who’s spoken sweet science nothings into our ears:

Dr. Harold Varmus: The co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his groundbreaking research on the genetic origins of cancer.
Dr. William Schlesinger: geochemist and president of the Institute of Ecosystem Studies.
Dr. Eric Kandel: Nobel-Prize-winning neuroscientist.

Admission is always free, but the line out the door gives away the secret. So does me writing this post.

Gummy bears free as well.
