Bus drivers that leave us hanging
Bus drivers that don’t stop the bus after seeing a new group of people emerge from the subway are simply not cool.
You are a bus driver, your job is to drive people to and from places. When you deny someone the opportunity to board your bus when they’re standing in front of it, you are not doing your job. You are, in fact, being obnoxious and ruining people’s days or nights.
There are many ways in which bus drivers have abandoned me in the past and today I witnessed a bus driver deny at least 3 people.
Usually bus drivers are guilty of one of the following:
- Watching someone run towards the bus and shutting the door in their face
- Passing by a bus stop full of people waiting (usually after you’ve been waiting for at least 30 minutes and you think you’re never going to get to work that day)
- Ignoring a stop when someone is on the bus
What’s more is that yesterday, a similar thing happened with a train conductor. We were waiting for the train at 8:05 am and apparently the trains were running late. So the dude literally opened the doors for 8 seconds and shut the doors while herds of passengers were in the act of boarding the train. I’m not talking about 1 or 2 stragglers that were trying to hold the doors open. I’m talking about, people were squished by the doors mid-way. This was on the F train at 179th street. Insane! Absolutely insane!
First you’re late then you have the nerve to mistreat the passengers? Are you on crack? Do your goddamned job city transportation people!
At this rate, these folks will be on the same shit list as the lunch ladies who were stingy with the tater tots.

I guess they figure they need to just GO GO GO. But I’ve experienced many subway conductors wait for the herd to come out of the adjacent train.
I suppose there are good ones too, but lately I haven’t experienced any of them…for the most part.
why don’t you try to drive a bus one time? probably you’ll have many answer
