Man, Restaurant Girl really nailed it with this one. Of course, I’m not sure whether I should be pissed at her for awakening the massive summertime cravings I’m now experiencing, or if it was inevitable (probably) and I should just thank her for creating such an easy and accurate one-stop reference list.

I mean, does anything scream summer louder than corn on the cob or fresh strawberry shortcake? Or how about a tall, glistening glass of lemonade or iced tea (or even better, the two mixed together)? And if I’m feeling a little more upscale-Long Island (and who isn’t?), there is nothing that even comes close to a fresh-stuffed summer lobster roll. Yum.

Anyway, I just returned from an extended Mediterranean vacation, and while spectacular, I’m definitely in the mood to sop up some of this sticky NYC summer that now stretches before us. And I can think of no better way to start than with some of these summer goodies in hand. Excuse me while I run to Carvel.
