I moved from Los Angeles to NYC 6 months ago. I am staying in Manhattan. Although the city has much to offer, it can be difficult to do the things that I was comfortable and used to doing and what I used to consider to be my "most fun activities". Los Angeles was a very fun place and I hope to move back to Cali someday soon, until then I am trying to appreciate NYC for all it's own qualities... it can be difficult to appreciate it at times but trying to keep a somewhat open mind...

I'm 20 and have been living here for 2 months now and love it. I've only been coming to the city for a few years to visit friends, but living here now is awesome.

I'm an avid runner, so every Saturday morning, I just get out and jog Central Park or up and down the West Side or Battery Park and back or up and down Park Ave... it's great. I've seen so much of the city and the different locations.

The food has been amazing. Eating out is expensive sometimes, but you can never eat at the same place twice and still be happy. I love it all!

Same here in the Seattle. People move out here from the East or California and never go out on the coast, the mountains or enjoy the islands. No reason to move here if you aren't planning on buying some gear at REI. I'm on my way to NYC now to enjoy some hustle & bustle. A nice break from the mellow life. I would move there if I could afford it.

It is always annoying when people say they don't like NYC based upon no real experiences... I had a friend who did that. Sat at home all the time, made no effort to meet people or do anything, and then complained that "NYC is boring. So overrated!"
