Bagel & Coffee

As New Yorkers we know how mission critical it is to start our Mondays or any day off with the perfect bagel (shmeared or non-shmeared) along with the best cup of coffee. As New Yorkers, we also know that Starbucks bagels & coffee do not count.

The only brand that appeals to my tastebuds when I’m in Manhattan before 10 am on any day is the stuff the carts give me. I don’t know how they do it or what brand of coffee they use even. I cannot seem to find a similar tasting coffee anywhere else.

Does anyone know the brand of coffee they use? I’ve been trying to find it for a while. Does the city have its own stash? I gotta know! If you’re in the city today and frequent one of those trucks, ask the dude what brand it is. Maybe it’s just a brand we all know of very well and it’s the water that makes the difference.

I had coffee/bagel this morning not from Manhattan and I felt sorely cheated.

It isn’t any particular brand - they just use regular coffee and sprinkle a little bit of crack in it.
