Music on the Highline

http://www.highlineballroom.com/The Highline Ballroom is a smallish venue with big dreams.
Opening April 30, it’s somewhat smaller than Irving Plaza but already has some top-notch names; Lou Reed opens the venue, with a stage that hogs nearly 1/3 of its 600 sq. foot space. Jonatha Brooke and Amy Winehouse (a personal new fave but, sadly, already sold out) come in May and June finds the absolutely delightfully-named Bjorkestra taking the stage.

The fact that this is Bowie’s venture is extremely exciting. Knowing him, he will have some fantastic artists in store. He is also planning a festival and will be performing.
