JC phone home.

Jesus doesn’t have a cell phone, people.

This is one of his favorite spots in all of NYC: an actual phone booth! It’s a relic of nearly pre-historic proportions. In fact, I don’t know of another one in the city. (I’m sure they exist, but this is the only one I’ve come across.)

This one happens to be located on the Upper West Side. And more often than not, if I find myself passing by, there’s the son of god happily ensconced, chatting away. I wonder if he’s got a special arrangement with Verizon, or if he has to sit there feeding quarters into the phone, like everyone else. Well, like everyone who doesn’t have a cell phone, anyway.

Ah, phone booths. It’s hard to imagine a time when they were all over the sidewalks.
