I use green power as well in my home and I think my bf does as well. This entire thing is a direct result of those anti-monopoly rulings (I would have to research which), allowing people living in one place to choose power from other providers as Con Ed itself doesn't produce any green power but they're now required by law to purchase it for users who want to use it.
