Fish and Chips Near Wall Street

TerraceFishandChips.jpg

I’m always on the look out for a good lunch place in my work neighborhood, the Financial District. We’ve recently found one that’s a bit unique: Terrace Fish and Chip shop.

Located in that old area, right by Stone Street, Terrace is on cobblestone street surrounded by charming, old buildings, much different than the towering skyscapers which dominate the neighborhood. You can actually even get a glimpse of the sea from that street, making this little shop seem very appropriate.

The place is tiny and can be crowded at lunch hour. The food may not be the healthiest, but it is tasty. They serve everything from crab sticks to traditional fried fish. Everything is greasy, but good. My one issue with the food is the fries are those fast food-style, thin fries. I’m one for thick, steak fries myself. But all in all, it’s a delicious break from the normal chaotic deli scene.

As you are veg, what does one eat at a Fish & Chip shop other than chips?

I actually recently started eating fish, one of the reasons I checked out this shop.
