Heart attack in a cup–but what a way to go.

Yes, I love hot chocolate. Yes, I’ve posted about it before. But if you love it like I do, then you’ll probably enjoy this little New York mag write-up of nine of the most decadent cups in the city.

I’ve had most on the list, but was pleased to make a few new discoveries (Otto? I’ve eaten there a bunch of times, but who knew they served a serious cup of hot chocolate?)

I’m thinking a winter-long crawl of sorts will be in order.

I was searching for my brother’s office phone number to ask him a question and your blog appeared. It’s hilarious. I also think it’s weird that you and my brother have the exact same name!! Orell’s are definately few and far between. I wonder if we’re long lost somethings.

I did my best to cover the hot chocolate scene on my last visit to NYC … Max Brenner hadn’t opened up yet, but I got four out of the nine on that list.

Wow. I respectfully disagree with their placement of Jacques Torres at no. 8 below the Bald Man. After all the talkup, Max Brenner was the single biggest letdown I’ve EVER had when it comes to chocolate.
For my money, Jacques is tied at no. 1 with City Bakery.
