Baby, It’s Cold Out

Welcome, blistering cold. After yesterday’s brush with “will we or won’t we get snow”, I should have anticipated this blistering freeze that assaulted me at the ungodly hour of 5 while walking my dog. My face still hurts.
Strangely, my fairly small pug absolutely loves the cold; the colder, the better! He’s something of a personal space heater, though; I put him in my bed and he’s better than a hot water bottle, which is a good thing since it always seems that NYC radiators lose a little of their oomph when it’s this cold.
Also, in this cold, I enjoy indoor activities and the city affords us plenty of opportunities.
My favorite indoor activity: exploring as many rooms as I can in the American Museum of Natural History. My favorite rooms are the dinosaur and animal exhibits, although I’ve recently taken to enjoying the Native American artifact rooms. What are some of your favorite things to do when it’s too cold for outdoor activity?

Our radiators ironically work BETTER in the super cold because they finally kick in. It’s when it’s fifty degrees out that they don’t acknowledge that there’s anything wrong and we’re freezing. *sigh*
Is there a new building located in the 5 boroughs? I haven’t found one.
What kind of new building? Certainly nothing beyond more chic hi-rises. :-)
You’re lucky that your radiators work so well, though. Surprisingly, I have no problem with it being at least somewhat warm in my apartment because, I guess, I live on the top floor. The heat must rise!
Whether how to define serious cold, or it is a virus and when thus there is a sense to address to the doctor? Or it is possible to lay simply at home, being treated most? WBR LeoP
