I’m sure this isn’t really news for anyone that’s a Trekkie, but starting today, Christie’s is holding a 3 day sale - “40 Years of STAR TREK: The Collection“.

From what I’ve read they’re selling around 4,000 items including furniture, costumes, and props props from the 5 television series and 10 films. Of course, being the furniture lover that I am, I found it interesting that the set director from 1988-2004 - Jim Mees - used mostly midcentury Modernist furniture. Cool.

There’s some fun stuff in the Catalog. I would actually go check it out if I had the cash and the time. Oh, and no worries if you’ve never purchased from Christie’s before, the site has this great “how to buy” page.

If I knew anything about Star Trek, I’d include some line from the show for everyone’s amusment, but this is all lost on me.
