$4 for a bottle of water

Today afternoon I accompanied my uncle on a touristic excursion to Statue of Liberty.

Just before we boarded the boat at Battery Park, I decided to pick up a bottle of water. I go to a street side vendor and ask for one. He fishes out the small standard bottle of Dasani and i profer a $1 bill.

The asshole snickers at me, and announces to the whole wide world in a loud voice, about how I was being so cheap, and where can one get a bottle of water for a dollar.

So I ask him how much, and he tells me $4. I just pay and walk away, because I didnt want to embarass myself more. of course, I do tell him how I felt at being ripped off.

May this vendor run out of business in the next week.

I am so pissed off at him….pun intended.
