Thank you & Sorry Brooklyn
I hate Brooklyn. This is a common known fact to anyone who knows me. I hate the fact that people from out of state come to Brooklyn and make it their own. I never liked it before and hate it even more now that these outsiders play it up like the greatest living space known to man since I don’t know what . . . nothing has ever been hyped up as much as effing Brooklyn.
Anyhow, I wanted to thank the good people of Brooklyn for their hospitality and letting me film freely today. The wonderful folks at Applewood restaurant in the tree-lined Park Slope neighborhood were kind enough to let us use their premises for filming without notice!
Then we went down to 15th street between 5th and 6th avenues into one of their newer buildings … and saw one of the greatest views of NYC available.
Not only that the day ended with a deliciously satisfying meal of a veggie patty and tartar sauce with cumin chips. Thank you Brooklyn and sorry for hating on you for so long.
Consider this the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

That’s because you try to have all Queens-pride type of silliness. Hating Brooklyn is not only trite, it’s hating NYC in general. Manhattan is dead.
I’m drunk. Don’t bother responding.
Oh Dval, it just makes me so sad that you hate LI and Brooklyn so much.
Well, I’m beginning to not mind it so much, Melissa.
But BDT: no matter how drunk you are…Manhattan is dead? Seems a bit . . . false.
Peace and Monkey Love.
Brooooooooooklyn…..Top Of The Food Chain.
So says our Lord, the God, the One and Only…Howard Stern.
May his curse be upon you and you strip naked just as u enter the godforesaken train that takes you into the bowels of NYC…aka Queens !!

I say we all stop fighting and join forces against a common enemy–Staten Island!
Just a melodramatic way of bitching about the usual gentrification shit.

Nicely done Tom. I feel like we’ve bonded.
