Hey - No Peeking!!!

Bathroom.JPG

OK, so we’ve all heard about my apartment troubles over the past year. Mosquito infestation due to Corona, a Super that picks through the garbage, a fireplace that delivers leaves and sand into my leaving room, front doors that don’t lock, and water leaks in the bathroom and closet.

So, I found it fitting that right after I received my letter informing me of my 4% rent increase, it happened again. One more water leak in my bathroom. This time, it’s not so bad since the water is leaking in to the tub, but it’s the SAME DAMN pipe from the last 2 times. Why can’t they fix it the first time?!?

I called the management company, left a message, and heard back from the building owner who was more interested in the fact that I work in the IT Department of a Hospital. I got him back on track and bitched about the fact that his crew can’t seem to find the problem (I also bitched about the other random things in the apartment that haven’t gotten fixed).

Anyway, they came to fix the problem yesterday morning but left a bigger problem. In order to check on the problem and fix it, they had to cut a large hole in the ceiling of the bathroom above the tub until things are dried up and fully fixed in the apartment upstairs. Which means that I have to live with this hole until later in the week. Why couldn’t they put something up temporarily. Why should I have to be concerned about showering under this big hole. Who knows what will pour out of there and who knows if the neighbor can see. I’m sure I’ll end up on some web cam somewhere. Fantastic. Let me know how I look.

OK - enough bitching. I covered up the hole with a large garbage temporarily. It’s not as if I’m helpless.

So, I think this is a good time to request to not have my rent go up. We’ll see what happens.

What’s that little red light for up there in the ceiling?
