This year’s free series begins with The Birds on June 19 which, despite some now-silly special effects and unintentionally comedic edits, truly is a stunning masterpiece. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor and up the ante by viewing it for the first time in the middle of a darkened park, with thousands of pigeons poised to attack.
