The Great Bagel Mix-Up
You’re a New Yorker, you like your bagels and your coffee in the morning. You know what you want, usually, you have a pre-set order. Toasted Sesame with butter, plain and a black coffee, No Egg-Everything with light veggie cream cheese. You know what I’m talking about.
But you also know that if you get a cream cheese of any type usually, you’ll get a smear of whatever cream cheese is lying next to your choice, as well. For example, I’ve eaten walnut-raisin cream cheese and had a taste of scallions in mine. It has actually happened pretty regularly. But, this morning was something rare, it has happened in the past but not very frequently. My chocolate chip bagel had blueberries in it! Look at that freaking picture, both sides of it - it’s like they started to add a couple of blueberries and said “holy crap, this has to be chocolate chip!” Now, I’m not complaining, I rather enjoy surprises. But, what would happen if I was allergic to blueberries? Not very cool!

As mistakes go, that one actually sounds kinda tasty. Are chocolate chip bagels common? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.
It was delicious, Lisa. And they’re not all that common - but at most places that aren’t the mobile bagel stands, you’ll probably be able to find a few. I got these at Bagel Boss.
