Katrina and the Rainforest - Dual Purpose Event This Thursday!
Fabian LLiguin of Cocoon Hair Studio NYC (featured in Time Out New York this past July), will be hosting a benefit event this Thursday.
Not only is he passionate about hair, but he is VERY passionate about helping the Amazon and educating people on how to be more environmentally aware.
His organization is called Ecoagents. Founded in 1999, Ecoagents is a non-profit organization created to defend and protect the Amazon Rainforest, its people, and ancient culture from damage, pollution and further destruction. They provide information and education to individuals who wish to know more or become proactive in aiding this cause.
Fabian is originally from Ecuador and travels back numerous times every year to help with this cause.

The Rainforest Benefit
Thursday, September 15th
9:00pm
Barna in the Giraffe Hotel - (26th St. and Park Ave)
There will be a special open bar from 9:00 to 10:00 provided by Charmer Industries and hors d’voures by Barna in the main room.
The Hotel Rooftop will be open for VIP access hosted by Trump Model Management, with a two hour open bar.

A suggested $20 donation will be accepted at the door. Ecoagents is represented by, and donations will be forwarded to Centro de Educacion de Trabajadores. They will be donating a portion of this event’s proceeds to the relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina as well.
