It was inevitable. After all the ranting and raving and the idiocy, UCB finally put it all together.
Too bad, I’m going to see Dr. No under the Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday, otherwise I’d be shelling out $5 to see this promising-to-be comedic gem.

Just as a point of interest:
For those of you questing to find that one thing that will make the object of your affections swoon and fall into your arms, I have discovered the one thing in this city so coveted so desired that it has the potential to turn someone resembling a slice of pepperoni pizza into the high potentate of the dating scene.
In the words of Kevin Smith via Jason Lee:

Terrorism is a subject that rarely hits home with me like this. Sure, I live in New York City, ride the subways multiple times per day and travel via airplane often, but yesterday

As much as I love the city, having been here for a year straight with only the occasional weekend away, the place does start to get to me. Especially in the summer. The subways are just as crowded, except everyone is hot and smells bad and they’re sweaty and when they bump up against you they transfer some of their sweat onto you. Not that I blame them - I’m doing the same myself. But can’t I get a little breathing room over here?
Two easy weekend get-aways, just a subway ride away, have convinced me that you don’t have to spend a lot of money - or even leave the city - to experience space and fresh air, and return to the soot and crowds and $4 lattes refreshed and ready for anything.

LA Metroblogging founder Sean Bonner alerted us to this wonderful fact, though with some reservation.
Unfortunately it’s a pretty poorly written review, they even suggest
“If this site had a motto, it might be “Think globally, blog locally.”"
- I guess they didn’t bother to look at metroblogging.com and see that
in fact that IS our motto and has been for over a year. Anyway, it’s a
cool mention.
I must agree. To be mentioned among the likes of gothamist.com makes me proud. What a perfect occasion to celebrate, as the NYC bloggers are meeting for pizza and drinks tomorrow night. I just can’t wait.
