Awesome. Just in time for “back to school” (whatever), we get another break from sales tax on clothing and shoes under $110. I have to say, that’s one thing I’ve missed about the Giuliani days…

But did anyone else realize that these items were only taxed at 4%? I didn’t. Bad New Yorker!

    how about a break on cigarette taxes. i betcha a lot of “fixed income” people would welcome that more than buying target clothes at the tag price.

    I’ve got a better idea. How about selling pot and taxing the fuck out of that? Now that is a win/win situation for the city however you look at it.
