i have much to say about this issue.

first let me confess that i think ugg boots look good on the right person. most chicks i’ve seen wearing uggs are short with fat legs and they’re trying to hide their cankles by wearing uggs. they look crappy and make uggs look crappy.

uggs are comfy but not good for slushy weather cause they’ll just get wet. they are not ski boots. rather, most people wear them just around the house. surfers/swimmers wear them to keep their feet warm whilst out of the water. they keep your feet warm but also rather cool (the special feature of sheepskin), that’s why you see people wearing them in summer, too. better than strappy stilettos by far.

there is apparently much more than just fashion at stake in the recent american co-optation of the originally australian sheep skin boot

finally, everybody i know hates uggs. my boyfriend even tried to start a campaign to yell out UGG! whenever he saw anybody wearing them.

My question is this: Why would you buy a t-shirt in the girls’ section of Urban Outiftters if you know it’s just gonna cut off your circulation. The man’s in pain. He needs our help more than the dumpy coteries of nyc twentysomethings who never had style to begin with.

the lamest “message” shirts that UO ever came out with were the ones that said hello in different languages and then the capital of a country in which that language was spoken.

They fucked up Guten Tag. and made it Gutentag.

Who does that? Couldn’t they have looked it up in some phrase book? It’s like Goodday! Every time I see one of those shirts, I hiss.

I have uggs. and obviously you care a lot about uggs to have a shirt that says “uggs are for whores”. Why do u care what other people wear? That’s just dumb. And uggs are adjustable for any weather that is why people where them in the summer time. I personally, only wear my when its cold out or when its snowing. I love uggs they are adorable!!!!!!!!!!

i absolutely despise uggs. they’re hideous, especially when you wear the black ones with black sweats on. it makes it look as though you have the footie pjs on. i also cant stand it when girls wear them OUT SIDE OF their pants. it looks so dumb and serves absolutely no purpose what-so-ever. if you’re gonna wear uggs, dont flaunt them, just wear them as you would any other shoe. im a swimmer year round for three teams and i haven’t once seen anyone wear uggs on the pool deck. and if they get wet, it just stains them and makes them look like shit even more. just stay away.

i personally have no problem with uggs themselves, but with the people that wear them. uggs were supposed to be a unisex boot that you would wear because they’re comfortable, not because you see britney spears on vh1 saying they’re awesome. it’s those annoying girls that call any guy wearing uggs gay, and that uggs are a girl’s fashion thing that make me want to shank someone.

Uggs are uber-gay, hands down. There’s no way a straight guy can wear them and still keep his girl.
