Ladies, Has This Ever Happened to You?

I was about 30 minutes early for dinner reservations yesterday, so instead of drinking at the bar alone, I walked into this cute little girly shop called Purdy Girl. I normally avoid little shops because I can’t stand when snobby sales people follow you around and you can’t even enjoy browsing - but I had time to kill so I stayed. Great accessories, fun skirts, cute dresses and the prices were not bad at all.

I tried on a pair of sandals and a skirt (both on sale). The shoes were perfect and so was the skirt, but there was something up with the zipper. I tried to zip it up, but it stopped halfway. After trying a few more times, I decided that even though it was on sale, I didn

    Melissa, I feel your pain:

    Back when I was a poor NYUer, I once got so stuck in a dress at the Goodwill on 23rd St that a big security guard guy had to break the zipper with pliers. He was way more embarrassed about it than I was, and afterwards, he asked me if I still wanted the dress. Um…NO.

    And a few years ago, on a lunch break from work, I got stuck in a pink vinyl tube dress at the H&M in Herald Square. (Getting stuck in vinyl is BAD, because if you start sweating it makes things even worse.) That one I eventually managed to wriggle out of without calling for help.
