Fickr sucks. They have very limited space and they delete the photos after sometime creating broken links. Unlike their ad says, they are NOT the best way to store photos. You shoud check out dotphoto.com where I keep my photos. Unlimited space and deletions.
BTW, I blog a lot about NYC current events. Can I contribute to Metroblogging?
Hi Shital,
This is the first I am hearing about Flickr delering photos. Did you have more info on that? I know the founds of Metroblogging had some pretty good reasons for using Flickr (one of which is how they were able to code the new banners to pull Flickr images for each city–check out most of the other cities to see this cool new feature) but I am not sure what the rest were and I am too lazy to go through my saved mail right now.
We are always looking for a few good bloggers, so if you think you can contribute 2-3 NYC specific post you can apply here: http://www.metroblogging.com/apply.phtml
Thanks!
Hi Dana. Check out this at Flickr http://www.flickr.com/help.gne#28.
This is burried deep under their glossy website but basically what it says is (unless you are paying them),
* They will delete high resolution images from your account and only retain smaller resized versions.
* You are limited to only 10MB bandwidth and once that gets used up, users won’t see more images.
