Good Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
New York City is facing a major blood shortage this summer, and giving blood is pretty easy — you fill out a questionnaire, you have a hemoglobin test, they take your blood, and then, snacks! And if you go in to one of the actual Blood Centers, you get a recliner, and they’ve got a movie on — it takes maybe an hour and it’s really not painful at all.
Plus, if you go out for drinks the same night, you’re the cheapest date ever. Heh.

If I lived in NYC, I would so be there. Possibly with bells on. But I will donate in Boston, and I better do it soon. I plan to get a tattoo for my birthday, and once you do that you can’t give blood for a year. Which some “inked” people may or may not know…
