Howdy, folks.  I’d like to dedicate my first posting here to the kind young lady who let me borrow her Metrocard at Broadway/Lafayette station last night so I wouldn’t miss the D train.


When I got on the D train, in the seat next to me was an orphaned crucifix pendant, but that’s a post for another time.

    I just started a blog on Blogger sort of by accident (was trying to leave a comment on a site, was prompted to log in, logging in seemed to require creating a blog). And the header I used for my first post was, “Hello? Is this thing on?” Great minds.
